Whats my Aastra Phones IP Address?

To find your Aastra phones IP address do the following:

1. When the phone is idle press "Options"
2. Press "2"
3. Press "1"

Your phones IP address and macadress will be displaied on the phones screen.

I moved a phone to a new closer registration/channel server now some extensions can't reach me?

It takes about 5 miuntes from the time your phone registers for CNA (Central Number Authority) agents to update all registration servers and channel managers in the network.

I just moved a phone to a new closer registration/chennel server and now some of my BLF's are not working?

It takes 10 minutes from the time your phone registers for CNA (Central Number Authority) BLF (Busy Lamp Field) agents to update BLF signaling routes.

How do I change the number of rings before a call goes to voicemail?

There are two ways to do this the first method is Zone wide the second method is done at the extension level.

1. To change the number of rings before voicemail at the zone level edit the "Ring Timer" value found in zone settings.
2. To change the number of rings before voicemail at the extension level edit the "Ring Timer" value found in the SIP tab of the extension in question.

How do I check the voicemail message of another mail box?

You can check the voicemail message of any mailbox your extensions zone is friends with by dialing "*96"

How can I login to a mailbox without defaulting the password?

You can login to any mailbox in the system using the "Zone Master Password" found in the zone settings of each zone. Additionally you can use the "System Wide Password" found in the Globals "Voicemail" tab, that password can be used for any mailbox in the system. The deault "System Wide Password"  is 654321
