Zones

Each zone is able to act as a independent virtual PBX or you can link zones together via friendships and create zones which act more like class of service. Let zones act like virtual PBX as a service provider you can run multiple system off a single Synergy-IPV box while not having to worry about reusing extension, number, ring plans etc. as each zone is a independent virtual PBX. Or you can use the zone to break up a large company into more manageable sections by treating each zone as a class of service or department.. Make as many zones are you want as they are a non licensed feature.

Outgoing Call Access:

Outside call access is controlled via zones. There are 6 outgoing routes that you can allow an extension
in that zone to access. They are as follows:

Allow 7 Digit Dialing: Enabling this will allow an extension to dial any local 7 digit number via the Primary or Secondary trunking provider.
Allow Toll Free Dialing: Enabling this will allow an extension to dial any 1800,1866,1877, or 1888 number via the Primary or Secondary trunking provider.
Allow 411: Enabling this will allow an extension to dial 411 for information via the Primary or Secondary trunking provider.
Allow 10 Digit Dialing: Enabling this will allow the extension to dial and 10 digit number via the Primary or Secondary trunking provider.
Allow Long Distance: Enabling this will allow the extension to dial any 11 digit number via the Primary or Secondary trunking provider.
Allow International Dialing: Enabling this will allow the extension to dial any internationalnumber via the Primary or Secondary trunking provider.

Access Codes:

Access codes provide a system by which you can further lock down who can dial local/ 10 digit, long distance and international calls by requiring the use of a code prefix before the number is dialed. If you are going to use access codes you should leave the outgoing route unchecked in the outgoing call access tab for the zone. If you have a outgoing route checked and a access code(s) set for the same route the user will be able to call with or without the access code prefix.

Each access code has the following settings:

Value
Code

The code must be prefixed before the number dialed for a given route (local/10 digit, Long Distance or International)

Name

Just for noting who each code is assigned to

Local

be used for local/10 digit dialing

Long Distance

Setting this to “yes” will enable the access code tobe used for long distance dialing.

International

Setting this to “yes” will enable the access code to be used for international dialing.

Note: If you wish to require an access code for toll free number leave it unchecked in the outgoing access tab and create access code with long distance set to yes.
