Application Users:

Synergy ∞IPV applications require user authentication as a method to link extensions to users and provide a level of access control within applications. Each application will have a different setting that can be made for an application specific setting. See the applications installation guide. User accounts are grouped by zones this is mainly for ease of management as accounts are not tied to a zone but rather an extension depending on the applications level of features. The following setting are all that are required for a user account to be active.

Setting What It Does
Real Name The real name of the user
Username The username the user will log-in with
Password The password for the account
Extension The extension number linked to the account.Some application can interact with the users desktop / soft-phone.

Each application will have a tab that allows you to make application specific setting. If you have an application but don't see a tab for its settings make sure you using the most current release of the management software.

 

Contact Groups:

Contact groups allow you to orginize your compay extensions and speed dial numbers into logical groups. Each group can display ONLY 30 contacts to an Aastra endpoint.
